Mitrovica, October 1, 2024 – The Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Besim Kelmendi, together with the Acting Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica, Mr. Nijazi Rexha, held a meeting with representatives of the United Nations Mission in Kosovo, led by the Head of the Rule of Law Office, Mr. Antero Lopes, the Project Coordinator, Ms. Jehona Dragaj, and the Project Manager for Strengthening the Rule of Law and Access to Justice at UNDP, Mr. Ardian Latifaj.
The purpose of this joint meeting was to discuss the possibilities of supporting the Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica by increasing its professional human resources, particularly legal officers and translators, as per the needs of this prosecution office.
In this regard, Acting Chief State Prosecutor Kelmendi expressed his gratitude to the guests for their readiness to support the Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica in enhancing work efficiency, with the goal of strengthening the rule of law.
