The Liaison Interception Unit, within the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, is responsible for overseeing law enforcement interception procedures. It defines the roles and responsibilities of authorized officials for interception while upholding professional standards and ensuring successful surveillance. The Chief State Prosecutor establishes the Unit based on Law no. 05/L-030. The Chief State Prosecutor administers and controls the Unit, appointing a prosecutor to lead it. Administrative officials supporting the Unit are appointed by the Chief State Prosecutor.
