Prishtina, February 9, 2025 – The Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica, following information received from citizens, has initiated two separate cases related to criminal offenses against voting rights.
In the first case, four individuals have been detained on reasonable suspicion that their actions constitute the criminal offense of “Violating the Free Decision of Voters”, under Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
Meanwhile, in the second case, one individual has been detained on reasonable suspicion that their actions also constitute the criminal offense of “Violating the Free Decision of Voters”, under Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
The State Prosecutors on duty today will act with urgency in every case that arises, aiming to prevent potential abuses during this electoral process.
The State Prosecutor once again urges the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, all political entities, institutions, and various organizations to report to the relevant prosecution offices any case in which they suspect that votes are being misused or manipulated in any form and by any individual.
