Prishtina, March 20, 2025 – The Coordinator of the Office for Victim Protection and Assistance, Mr. Burhan Maxhuni, met today with representatives of the Swiss KFOR.
During this meeting, important issues related to security and citizens’ well-being were discussed, with a particular focus on addressing domestic violence.
Additionally, the meeting explored opportunities for closer cooperation between the Office for Victim Protection and Assistance and the Swiss KFOR to enhance awareness, prevention, and response to domestic violence cases.
Mr. Burhan Maxhuni emphasized the importance of international community support in strengthening mechanisms for violence prevention and ensuring a safer environment for all citizens. He also acknowledged KFOR’s contribution to efforts aimed at building a more just and secure society.
On the other hand, KFOR representatives reaffirmed their commitment to supporting local institutions working to assist victims of domestic violence and to strengthening security measures in this regard.
The Office for Victim Protection and Assistance operates within the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor.
