Prishtina, 28 April 2025 – The Acting State Chief Prosecutor, Mr. Besim Kelmendi, held a working meeting with Mr. Alban Sutaj, Acting Director General of the Agency for the Management of Seized and Confiscated Assets (AMSCA). Also present at the meeting was Mr. Bahri Hyseni, Head of the Asset Recovery Office and Prosecutor at the Office of the State Chief Prosecutor.
The purpose of this meeting was to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions for a more efficient and transparent administration of seized and confiscated assets. Particular emphasis was placed on submitting motions to the courts for the sale of seized assets, in order to preserve their value and improve inter-institutional coordination for the effective management of such assets.
During the meeting, the importance of a coordinated and professional approach was reiterated as essential to upholding the rule of law, while also ensuring the integrity and value of seized property.
The State Prosecutor and the Agency for the Management of Seized and Confiscated Assets reaffirmed their joint commitment to enhancing cooperation with all justice institutions, with the goal of administering and managing seized and confiscated assets in full compliance with the law.
