National Election Coordinator from the Prosecutorial System Meets with Representatives of the Ombudsperson Institution

Prishtina, February 7, 2025 – Representatives of the Ombudsperson Institution, led by the Deputy Ombudsperson, Ms. Majlindë Sinani Lulaj, visited the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, where they were received by the National Election Coordinator, Prosecutor from the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, Ms. Laura Pula.

During this meeting, discussions focused on the course of the electoral process for the regular parliamentary elections of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, scheduled to be held on February 9, 2025, with particular emphasis on the operational plan of the State Prosecutor for election day.

The National Election Coordinator, Ms. Pula, informed the attendees about the commitment of the State Prosecutor in protecting the free vote of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo during the upcoming regular parliamentary elections.

The meeting also addressed coordination between the prosecution offices and the National Coordinator regarding all actions to be taken by the State Prosecutor in the event of any violations of the electoral process, including inter-institutional cooperation as outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding for the electoral process.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Ombudsperson, Ms. Majlindë Sinani Lulaj, informed Prosecutor Pula about the engagement of monitors from the Ombudsperson Institution, their role in overseeing the electoral process, and their deployment across the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
