On the occasion of the International Day of Criminal Justice, I would like to affirm the institutional commitment of the State Prosecutor in the effective fight against all forms of crime and the strengthening of the rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo.
In our daily work of investigating, prosecuting, and bringing to justice those who have committed criminal offenses, the State Prosecutor ensures equal and objective treatment for all individuals, without discrimination based on nationality, religion, gender, race, political beliefs, or social status.
The State Prosecutor operates independently and impartially, adhering to the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, local laws, international conventions, and the highest standards of positive law.
Holding all individuals accountable for criminal offenses, protecting victims of crime, strengthening international legal cooperation in the criminal field, advancing the principle of accountability, and increasing public trust through greater institutional transparency are the main objectives of the State Prosecutor’s office. These objectives are pursued diligently during the implementation of our constitutional and legal mandate.
In this spirit, the State Prosecutor remains committed to collaborating with all international partners to prevent and combat crime and to protect human rights and freedoms.
