Gjakova, September 10, 2024 – The Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Besim Kelmendi, attended today’s inauguration ceremony of the new building of the Basic Court in Gjakova.
During his speech, Acting Chief Prosecutor Kelmendi emphasized that this court will now offer better and more efficient services. He noted that the good work to be carried out in this building will be an achievement for the entire judicial system and will facilitate easier access to justice for citizens.
Additionally, the Acting Chief Prosecutor stated that this new building will also ease the daily work of prosecutors who attend court hearings, due to its close proximity to the Basic Prosecution Office in Gjakova.
The ceremony, organized by the Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC), was attended by leaders from both the prosecutorial and judicial systems, municipal leaders from areas covered by this court, as well as international partners.
