Prishtina, March 26, 2025 – The Coordinator of the Office for Protection and Assistance to Victims, Mr. Burhan Maxhuni, met with the central office staff and the heads of regional offices for Protection and Assistance to Victims. The main topic of the meeting was the inspection of cases handled by all regional offices during 2024 and the efficient management of these offices.
During the meeting, the progress made in handling cases throughout 2024 was analyzed, with a focus on improving services for victims and addressing the challenges in the process of protecting and assisting crime victims. Special attention was paid to the more efficient management and coordination of regional offices, in order to ensure better support for victims and to increase transparency in case handling.
Coordinator Maxhuni emphasized the importance of standardizing procedures and strengthening inter-institutional cooperation to guarantee a more comprehensive and effective approach to victim assistance. Strategies for enhancing staff capacities and improving the infrastructure of regional offices were also discussed.
