Prishtina, July 15, 2024 – The Acting Chief Prosecutor of Kosovo, Mr. Besim Kelmendi, along with the Chairperson of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Mr. Ardian Hajdaraj, and the Director of the Kosovo Academy of Justice, Mr. Enver Fejzullahu, welcomed the Director of the Academy of European Law (ERA), Mr. Jean-Philippe, and his associates in a meeting today.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the implementation of joint projects and to intensify the activities of the Academy of European Law, aiming to enhance the capacities of the prosecutorial system in implementing EU law.

Initially, Chairperson Hajdaraj informed Mr. Jean-Philippe about the needs of the prosecutorial system in terms of professional capacity building, emphasizing that the system comprises many new prosecutors and that specific training, especially those related to the effective combating of corruption, money laundering, cybercrime, and organized crime, is highly welcomed.

During the discussions, it was requested that prosecutors participate in the online training sessions organized by ERA and that the training materials published on the Academy’s website be utilized.
