Prishtina, June 5, 2024 – At the launch ceremony of the new web portal of the prosecutorial system of the Republic of Kosovo, the Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Besim Kelmendi, delivered a speech emphasizing that this newly launched information window will serve as an excellent resource for every citizen, civil society organization, and media outlet to access more complete and real-time information. This initiative aims to enhance the image of the State Prosecutor and the prosecutorial system, which is being advanced daily. Mr. Kelmendi thanked civil society and the media for their role in increasing public trust in the State Prosecutor’s work.
Acting Chief State Prosecutor Kelmendi also encouraged citizens, the media, and civil society to take advantage of the opportunities and access provided by the prosecutorial system, such as the new web portal, where they can find extensive information about the work carried out by the State Prosecutor.
In conclusion, Acting Chief State Prosecutor Mr. Besim Kelmendi expressed his gratitude to UNDP for supporting this project.
The design and development of the new prosecutorial system web portal have been made possible by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Kosovo, specifically through the Project “Support for Anti-Corruption Efforts, SAEK III,” with assistance from the Government of Switzerland and the Government of Sweden. This portal will be at the service of the media, civil society, and all citizens of the country.
