Mitovica Basic Prosecution in coordination with Kosovo Police, respectively the Organized and Serious Crime Investigation Directorate, supported by the relevant police units and Kosovo Police Inspectorate, on 19.03.2025 after several months of investigations have realized Mitrovica Basic Court order and were searched in total 21 premises in the Mitrovica South, Mitrovica North, Vushtrri, Skenderaj and Leposaviq.
From this police operation were accompanied to the police in total 16 persons suspicious on committing the criminal offence of ’’coercion’’ and also imports, supply, transportation, produce, exchange, intermediation or illegal sale of weapons or explosive materials.
As material evidence during the search were seized 9 firearms, 200 cartridges, different ammunition, 15 mobile phones, two pair of handcuffs, knives, gun barrels, gun holsters and 1 DVR.
After the interviewing by the decision of the Prosecutor, 13 persons were detained for 48 hours.
