Mitrovica, March 19, 2025 – The Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica – General Department has filed an indictment with the Basic Court in Mitrovica – Leposaviq Branch against the defendant R.M. for the criminal offense of “Unauthorized ownership, control, or possession of weapons”, under Article 366, paragraph 1, of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
The Prosecution informs the public that on October 31, 2024, in the village of Soqanica, Leposaviq Municipality, the defendant R.M., deliberately and in violation of the law, kept in his ownership and control firearms without the authorization of the competent authority—a hunting rifle and sixteen (16) rounds of hunting ammunition.
Additionally, the following items were found and seized from the defendant’s home:
- One (1) semi-automatic rifle,
- One (1) automatic rifle,
- One (1) air rifle,
- One (1) military gas mask,
- Five (5) different knives,
- Two (2) Serbian police caps,
- Twenty (20) bullets placed in military pouches,
- Ninety (90) bullets of various calibers,
- One (1) rifle scope,
- One (1) rifle bayonet,
- One (1) police baton,
- Eighty-seven (87) hunting rifle cartridges,
- One (1) radio communication device.
The State Prosecutor has proposed to the court that the defendant be found guilty of the committed criminal offense and be punished in accordance with the law.
