The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Mitrovica has jurisdiction over all first instance cases, unless otherwise provided by law and consists of:

  • Department for Serious Crimes
  • Department for Juveniles and
  • General Department

The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Mitrovica covers the territory of South Mitrovica, North Mitrovica, Leposaviq, Zubin Potok, Zveqan, Skenderaj and Vushtrri.

The Basic Prosecutor’s Office of Mitrovica is led by the Chief Prosecutor, has sixteen (16) prosecutors and sixty-eight (68) support staff.
