Gjilan, September 19, 2024 – Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Gjilan, Mr. Arben Kadriu, held a working meeting with the Director of the Regional Police of Gjilan, Mr. Agron Rukiqi, along with his associates, where prosecutors from the Serious Crimes Department and General Department of this prosecution were also present.
The meeting focused on coordinating and collaborating on joint actions. Chief Prosecutor Kadriu and Director Rukiqi evaluated the current cooperation between the two institutions.
They discussed institutional communication during on-call duties and actions during search warrant executions.
The Chief Prosecutor requested prioritization of all criminal cases, particularly domestic violence cases, and called for prompt actions from the initial reporting phase.
Director Rukiqi noted a decrease in cases of serious bodily injuries, thefts, robberies, and fatal accidents in comparison to the first half of last year.
The meeting concluded with both parties expressing their readiness for continued cooperation and regular monthly meetings.
