Gjilan, July 2, 2024 – The Basic Prosecution Office in Gjilan, General Department, has detained the suspect B.K., for a duration of 48 hours, due to the suspicion that he has committed the criminal offense of “Abuse of trust”, under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
It is suspected that the same, for the purpose of material gain, misused the trust in the injured female person L.G., in such a way that he had received authorization from her to act on her behalf, in order to provide her father’s financial means, as former political prisoner in the prisons of Yugoslavia, where he had requested 20% of the total amount of compensation for this service.
The defendant B.K., it is suspected that in 2023 he managed to withdraw these funds from the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, where the amount of about 24 thousand euros was deposited in his account, but he did not inform the injured party about this, even though the same was constantly demanding it.
With these actions, he is suspected of having committed the above-mentioned criminal offense and, within the legal term, the Basic Prosecution Office in Gjilan will decide on the measure for the security of the defendant in criminal proceedings.
