Gjilan, March 27, 2025 – The Basic Prosecution in Gjilan, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, has arrested the suspect D.S., following an intensive investigation and the application of special investigative measures, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “Coercion” under Article 328 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
It is suspected that from May 29, 2024, until his arrest, D.S. used serious threats to unlawfully obtain financial gain, forcing the victim, F.S., to hand over various sums of money. Based on the evidence gathered during the investigation, it is believed that the suspect profited approximately €50,000 from the victim.
By order of the State Prosecutor, the suspect D.S. has been placed under 48-hour detention, and within the legal timeframe, a motion for detention on remand will be filed against him.
