The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Mitrovica has jurisdiction over all first instance cases, unless otherwise provided by law and consists of:
-Department for Serious Crimes
-Department for Juveniles, and
– General Department
The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Mitrovica includes the territory of South Mitrovica, North Mitrovica, Leposaviq, Zubin Potok, Zveçan, Skenderaj and Vushtrri.
The Basic Prosecutor’s Office of Mitrovica is led by the Chief Prosecutor, has sixteen (16) prosecutors and sixty-eight (68) support staff.
A total of sixty-eight (68) people, support staff, are engaged in the administration of the Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica.
