Gjakova, on February 1, 2024 – The Basic Prosecution Office in Gjakovë, Department for Serious Crimes, has taken a decision to start the investigation and submitted a motion to impose the measure of detention on remand for a duration of 30 days, against the defendant with the initials A.P.
According to the motion of the Prosecution Office, the defendant AP participates in human trafficking by means of threats, use of force, the method of profiting through forced labor and other violent, controlling actions followed by physical and mental abuse with the purpose of exploitation for benefit to the injured party A.V.
With which there is a well-founded suspicion that the defendant has committed the criminal offense of “Trafficking in human beings” under Article 165 par.1 of the CCRK.
