Meeting on Inter-Institutional Cooperation

Gjakova, 4 february  2025 – The Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Gjakovë, Mr. Enis Gashi, together with several prosecutors from this prosecution office, held an important meeting with the President of the Basic Court in Gjakovë, Mr. Nikollë Komani, the Director of the Regional Police in Gjakovë, Mr. Lumni Graishta, as well as the commanders of the Police Stations in Gjakovë, Rahovec, and Malishevë.

During this meeting, among other topics, discussions focused on the continuation and strengthening of cooperation between the Prosecution, Police, and Court to ensure the efficient execution of duties and fulfillment of legal obligations, as well as joint efforts to address current challenges in the field of justice and security.

Another key topic discussed was the engagement and coordinated efforts of institutions regarding the protection of citizens’ right to free voting in the national elections scheduled for February 9, 2025. The aim was to determine the necessary measures to ensure order and security during the electoral period and to guarantee a free and fair process for all citizens.

At the end of the meeting, all attendees emphasized the importance of close cooperation between justice and security institutions in creating a safe and reliable environment for citizens and in addressing any challenges that may arise in the execution of their legal duties.
