Working meetings between the Appellate Prosecution Office and the Basic Prosecution Office in Gjakova

Gjakova, April 18, 2025–Within the framework of working visits to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation, the Chief Prosecutor of the Appellate Prosecution, Mr. Agron Bajrami, held a meeting today with the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Gjakova, Mr. Enis Gashi, and the prosecutors of this prosecution.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the coordination and strengthening of inter-institutional cooperation, with a special focus on improving efficiency in handling criminal cases.

On this occasion, the Chief Prosecutor of the Appellate Prosecution Office, Mr. Bajrami, emphasized the importance of direct communication and joint commitment to improving the quality and reliability of decisions. “In this regard, we always keep in mind the treatment of challenges and shortcomings identified in first instance decisions, therefore only with joint commitments can we overcome them”, said Mr. Bajrami during the meeting.

Also, the Chief Prosecutor, Mr. Gashi, underlined their commitment to having proper cooperation and proper coordination of inter-institutional commitments, through which certain difficulties on the way forward are overcome.

At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors agreed to deepen and strengthen professional dialogue and to make their institutional contribution to improving the quality of law enforcement in the country.
