Gjakova, March 1, 2024 – The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Gjakovë, General Department, has filed an indictment, against the defendants QL and DT, for the criminal offense of “Serious Theft” under article 315 par. 1 under par. 1.1 related to Article 31 related to criminal offense “Punishment of criminal offense in continuation” under Article 77 of the CCRK.
According to the indictment, the defendants, acting intentionally and in complicity, appropriated the movable property of the injured party, M.B., from an unspecified date continuously until October 23, 2023, in Gjakovë. The theft occurred in the warehouse of the business owned by M.B., where the defendants accessed the warehouse by passing through a one-meter hole in the wall at the back of the store. They then opened a part of the dividing wall, closed with wooden panels and screws, between the warehouse of defendant Q.L. and the warehouse of the injured party. They stole various goods from the injured party’s warehouse and took them to the store of defendant Q.L. Subsequently, they closed the panel again. Through the police’s operative work, some of the stolen items were seized and returned to the injured party, who suffered considerable material damage amounting to 94,859.75 Euros.
The prosecutor of the case, when the indictment was filed, proposed to the court that the defendants be declared guilty and punished according to the law for the criminal offense that is charged.
