Ferizaj, January 17, 2025 – The Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj, Mr. Burim Çerkini, held a meeting today at the Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj with Ms. Laura Pula, Coordinator Prosecutor for domestic violence cases from the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Burhan Maxhuni, Acting Manager of the Office for Advocacy and Assistance to Victims (OAAV), along with other officials from this central office in Prishtina, and officials from the OAAV office in Ferizaj, including Mr. Avdullah Abedini, Coordinator Prosecutor for domestic violence cases from the General Department of this prosecution.
During the meeting, the attendees discussed the handling of criminal offenses related to domestic violence and the cooperation and coordination between the Prosecution, Police, and the Office for Advocacy and Assistance to Victims (OAAV). The objective was to harmonize actions for the efficient handling and resolution of such cases.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants agreed to continue their collaboration by holding regular meetings to ensure the fair and effective handling of domestic violence cases.
