Prishtinë, June 27, 2024 – The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo announces that today it has apprehended a person, due to the suspicion of having committed the criminal offense “War crime against the civilian population”, sanctioned by article 142 of the Criminal Law of former Yugoslavia.
Preliminary investigations show that during the war in Kosovo, the suspect committed war crimes against the civilian population in the village of Panorc, Municipality of Malisheva.
By the order of the Special Prosecution, the defendant is being kept 48 hour detention and within the legal term will be sent before Pre-trial judge for further proceedings.
