Pristina, 28 February 2025 – The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK) informs the public that after conducting several months of investigations, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police – Counter-Terrorism Directorate and the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, this evening, in the Mitrovica region, it has arrested a person, due to the well-founded suspicion for committing the criminal offense “Espionage” in complicity, under article 124 par. 3 in connection with article 31 of the Criminal Code.
By decision of the State Prosecutor, she has been detained by the Special Prosecution for 48 hours and currently the suspect’s apartment is being searched by the relevant units of the Kosovo Police , in order for gathering other material evidence.
Meanwhile, the state prosecutor will take all necessary investigative actions against the suspect for the successful development of the criminal procedure.
