Joint press release from the Special Prosecution and the Kosovo Police

Pristina, October 8, 2024 – As ordered by the Special Prosecution of the Republic Kosovo, an action was carried out in MMPHI, in Pristina, this action, which was done after several months of investigations.

During this action, the investigators of the Sector for the Investigation of Economic Crimes by the Kosovo Police arrested a suspect, while the other suspect was not found at his residence.

The arrested person with the initials I.B. is suspected of having committed the criminal offenses: “Abusing official position of authority ” and “Carrying weapons without a permit”, while the other suspect with the initials N.H. is suspected of having committed the following crimes: “Abusing official position of authority ” “Money laundering” and “Non-reporting or false reporting of wealth, income, gifts, other property benefit or financial obligations”.

During the raid, the following evidence was seized:

  • One (1) MAUSER-WERKR type revolver with two (2) magazines of seven (7) cartridges each, and a box of fifty-four (54) 9 mm cartridges.
  • Thirty-four (34) different sheets of documents.
  • Three (3) phones, one (1) IPhone 15 ProMax, one (1) IPhone 12 ProMax, one (1) IPhone 11 ProMax
  • Seventeen (17) USB.
  • Three (3) HP laptops.
  • Four (4) computer lodges as well
  • Important documents for the investigative procedure.

In addition, a temporary restraining order has been issued for 6 apartments, with locations in Pristina and Fushë Kosovë.

As decided by the SPRK Prosecutor, the suspect with the initials I.B. has been taken for 48 hours custody, while investigations continue to identifying other persons who may be involved in this criminal activity.
