Pristina, October 7, 2024 – As ordered by the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, after several months of investigation, an action was carried out in the Public Enterprise “Pallati i Rinisë ” in Pristina.
During this action, the investigators of the Section for the Investigation of Economic Crimes from Kosovo Police, have arrested two people suspected of illegal embezzlement of funds during 2022 in the “Pallati i Rinisë” in Prishtina.
The arrested A.Z. and F. Rr. suspected of having committed the criminal offences: “Abusing official position or authority” from article 414 of the CCRK and “Embezzlement in office” from article 418 of the CCRK.
During this search, a detailed search was carried out in the work premises of the suspects, where the following were seized:
- 2 mobile phones;
- important documents for the investigation procedure;
- 1 firearm with 10 cartridges.
As decided by the prosecutor of the SPRK, the suspects are sent to 48 hours detention , while investigations is ongoing to on identification of other people who may be involved in this criminal activity.
