The Independence Day of the United States of America is an event which is experienced with special feelings of appreciation and gratitude by the people of Kosovo. There is a special connection between the people of Kosovo and the Independence Day of the United States of America, as the United States has been an important supporter and a strong ally on the road to Kosovo’s independence.
Every citizen of the Republic of Kosovo has a deep sense of gratitude and respect for the United States of America as they support and continue to support Kosovo in the creation of democracy based on their state model on the universal values of freedom, democracy and prosperity.
I express my deepest gratitude for the close cooperation that the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council has with the American Department of Justice through numerous projects and programs in support of the justice system and institutions in Kosovo. I am convinced that we will further develop constructive cooperation in this field and increase the capacities of the prosecutorial system to combat any type of criminal activity.
