Pristina, December 31, 2021 – The State Prosecutor informs you that during the last 24 hours, one hundred and twelve (112) indictments have been filed by the basic prosecutions, against one hundred and forty (140) persons, for various criminal offenses, while, by order of the State Prosecutor, twenty (20) people were detained and seven (7) requests were submitted for the appointment of detention measures against eight (8) people.
The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prishtina, by order of the prosecutor, detained two (2) persons, submitted five (5) requests for the determination of the measure of detention against five (5) persons, as well as filed sixty-three (63) indictments against seventy-six (76) ) persons, for various criminal offenses. During the last 24 hours, a person was found without signs of life in the detention center in Lipjan. The guardian prosecutor from the Department of Serious Crimes went to the scene, by order of the same body was sent for autopsy, while the case was qualified as “death investigation” and continues to be investigated. The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prizren, by order of the prosecutor, detained one (1) suspect and submitted one (1) request for the detention of two (2) persons. Meanwhile, twenty-one (21) indictments have been filed by this prosecutor against twenty-eight (28) persons, for various criminal offenses, defined in the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (KPRK). The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Peja, by order of the prosecutor, detained eleven (11) suspected persons for various criminal offences. The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Gjilan has made one (1) request for the determination of the detention measure against one (1) person and has filed fourteen (14) indictments against seventeen (17) persons. The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Gjakovë, by order of the guardian prosecutor, detained one (1) suspect for 48 hours, as well as filed two (2) indictments against four (4) persons, for various criminal offenses. The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Mitrovica, by order of the prosecutor, detained one (1) person and filed six (6) indictments against eight (8) persons for various criminal offenses.
The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Ferizaj has detained four (4) suspects in two separate cases and has filed six (6) indictments against seven (7) persons for various criminal offenses.

Detention of persons by order of the prosecutor:
The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Pristina, General Department, by order of the prosecutor, has detained four (4) persons, in separate cases, as they are suspected of having committed the criminal offense of “Domestic Violence”, one (1) person for the criminal offense of “Assault”. one (1) person for the criminal offenses “Aggravated Theft” and “Giving assistance to perpetrators after the commission of criminal offenses”, one (1) person for the criminal offenses “Serious Bodily Injury”, “Causing General Danger” and ” Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons” and one (1) person for the criminal offenses “Unauthorized possession of narcotics, psychotropic or similar substances” and “Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons”.
Meanwhile, the Department of Serious Crimes, by order of the prosecutor, has detained one (1) person, as he is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of “Unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution and sale of narcotics, psychotropic and analogous substances”.
Requirements for assigning detention (or other measures):
The Department of Serious Crimes has submitted one (1) request for the assignment of a measure of detention against one (1) person, due to the criminal offense of “Attempted Murder”.
