Chairman Hajdaraj hosted the Director of the Office for Democracy and Governance at USAID, Noel Bauer

Prishtinë, 30 August 2024 – The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Ardian Hajdaraj, together with the General Director of the KPC Secretariat, Sami Istrefi, hosted the Director of the Office for Democracy and Governance at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Noel Bauer, USAID Senior Rule of Law Advisor, Andrew Solomon, Resident Legal Advisor at the US Embassy in Kosovo, Erin Cox, and USAID Project Management Specialist, Zana Berisha.

Chairman Hajdaraj informed Director Bauer about the progress achieved thanks to the support of the programs of the American Embassy so far, expressing his commitment to bilateral coordination in the implementation of planned activities, with the aim of increasing the efficiency, transparency and accountability of the prosecutorial system. “We highly appreciate the role and importance of the American Embassy as an important partner in the field of the rule of law in the field of justice and in providing permanent support to the prosecutorial system, with the aim of strengthening the rule of law in Kosovo.”, said on this occasion Hajdaraj.

In today’s meeting, Mr. Hajdaraj and Mr. Bauer also discussed the aspects of cooperation with other justice institutions, with special emphasis on the implementation of the Joint Declaration of Commitment, signed by the heads of the justice institutions and in this framework also for the planned implementation of the justice reform.
