Reaction to the media of the KPC and OSCP to the statements of the Member of the Assembly of Kosovo, Armend Muja, on the Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution Office

Pristina, 22 October 2024 – The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC) and the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor (OCSP) strongly condemn the statements of the Deputy of the Assembly of Kosovo, Armend Muja, made today through social networks, against the Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution, Mr. Blerim Isufaj.

Today’s statements of MP Muja have pure political content and they come and are sorted in sync with the statements of the Government and from the ranks of the deputies of the majority entity in the Assembly of Kosovo, who, in fact, should be guardians of the law and rule of law in our country and not intervene hourly, not choosing tools and methods to smear and attack prosecutors, chief prosecutors and prosecutions of the country.

The KPC and the OCSP emphasize that these statements are intended to damage the investigative cases in the procedure and such statements do not serve justice, as well as are a deliberate intervention to divert attention from the daily implementation of the law made by Chief Prosecutor Isufaj, but on this occasion, the KPC and the OCSP inform MP Muja that they strongly support  Mr. Blair Isufaj and each prosecutor, who, every day, actively and systematically, deal with the prosecution and investigation of the perpetrators of criminal offenses whoever and wherever they come from.

KPC and OCSP underline the unstoppable readiness and commitment of Chief Prosecutor Isufaj and generally of each institution of the State Prosecutor that have on the way to the implementation of the law, while the goals and efforts will be unstoppable for the strengthening of the rule of law in Kosovo.
