Prishtina, March 3, 2022 – The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council has completed the interviewing of eight candidates within the recruitment process at the level of Basic Prosecutions, a process which started in June 2020 and continued with its re-announcement in May year 2021.
The Commission for the Recruitment of Prosecutors is composed of five members of the Prosecutorial Council and is chaired by the Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi, and after the completion of this process, this Commission will propose to the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council for voting the successful candidates.
Also, on this occasion, all legal deadlines for the development of recruitment procedures were respected and professional standards were applied, which constitutes a fair and transparent process of assessing the personal integrity and professional skills of each candidate.
Consequently, the candidate interview process was monitored by international partners and civil society.
