The list of six candidates for the position of Chief State Prosecutor is confirmed

Prishtinë, 15 February 2022 – The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), chaired by Chairman Jetish Maloku, has held its 209th meeting in a row, in line with safeguards against the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the beginning of this meeting, KPC members approved the Strategic Plan and Action Plan of the prosecutorial system 2022-2024 and the Work Plan of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council for 2022.

While the meeting continued with the approval of the Regulation on the Election and Termination of the Mandate of the General Director of the Secretariat of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council and the Director of the Prosecution Performance Review Unit.

Further, after discussions, KPC members have confirmed the list of six candidates who have applied for the position of Chief State Prosecutor.

In this meeting was also approved the Personnel Plan for 2022.

The meeting continued with the approval of the Report of the Commission for Transfer and Advancement of Prosecutors, in which case Prosecutor Suada Hamza was promoted from the General Department to the Juvenile Department of the Basic Prosecution in Peja.

Also, the KPC decided on the proposal for release from duty of four prosecutors, who are expected to reach retirement age.

At the end of this meeting, hearings were held for disciplinary cases against two prosecutors of the Basic Prosecution in Prishtina and one prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Prizren, and the relevant decisions will be made public as provided by law.
