Memorandum of Cooperation is signed between KPC and KJC for the implementation of the fourth phase of the CMIS project

Pristina, 2 March 2022 – The Chairman of the Prosecutorial Council, Jetish Maloku and the Chairman of the Judicial Council, Albert Zogaj, have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation for the implementation of the transitional phase (fourth phase) of the Case Management Information System (CMIS) in the courts and prosecutions of the country.

At the signing ceremony, it was said that this important inter-institutional act is signed, given the complexity of the implementation and the achievements of CMIS so far and the need for further cooperation between the KPC and the KJC, in order to ensure a sustainable electronic system, which helps strengthen the rule of law in Kosovo in line with EU standards and values.

Also, KPC and KJC agreed that they will work closely in all aspects related to the implementation, financing, planning and organization of this major digital project, which enables the increase of transparency, efficiency and ensure the functioning of justice more efficiently, qualitatively and cost-effectively.

On this occasion, at the end of this ceremony, the chairmen of the two councils signed a joint request to the EUKOJUST Project for the location of the Information Technology Recovery Center, which will be used for the purposes of courts and prosecutors’ offices.
