Chairman Hajdaraj visits the basic prosecutor’s offices in Ferizaj and Gjilan

Prishtinë, 16 July 2024 – The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Ardian Hajdaraj, together with the members of the KPC, Armend Zenelajn and Jetish Maloku, as well as the General Director of the Secretariat of the KPC, Sami Istrefi, today visited the basic prosecutor’s offices in Ferizaj and Gjilan, where he is received by chief prosecutors Shukri Jashari and Arben Kadriu, with their associates.

In both meetings held, Chairman Hajdaraj was informed by the chief prosecutors of the basic prosecutions in Ferizaj and Gjilan about the activities developed in the first six months of 2024 and about the current work processes. On this occasion, they also addressed the various challenges during the work process for the investigation and prosecution of criminal offenses in the territory under their jurisdiction.

The Chairman of the Prosecutorial Council thanked the chief prosecutors for the information presented, emphasizing the need for discussions for the implementation of their constitutional and legal mandates. “We look forward to your commitment to the priority treatment of cases of domestic violence and other specific cases”, underlined Chairman Hajdaraj.
Chairman Hajdaraj and chief prosecutors Jashari and Kadriu have agreed on the coordination of joint activities for creating the most favorable working conditions, holding specialized trainings, implementing work plans and all-round commitment to strengthening the rule of law in our country.
