Chairman Hajdaraj hosted the Director of the Academy of European Law (ERA), Mr. Jean-Philippe
Prishtinë, 15 July 2024 – The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Mr. Ardian Hajdaraj, together with the Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Besim Kelmendi and the Director of the Kosovo Law Academy, Mr. Enver Fejzullahu, received the Director of the Academy in a meeting of European Law (ERA), Mr. Jean-Philippe, with collaborators.
The purpose of today’s meeting was to discuss the realization of joint projects and the intensification of the activities of the Academy of European Law, in order to increase the capacities of the prosecutorial system for the implementation of EU law.
Initially, Chairman Hajdaraj informed Mr. Jean-Philippe about the needs of the prosecutorial system in the field of professional capacity building, emphasizing that the prosecutorial system consists of new prosecutors and that specific trainings are welcome, especially those related to the topics of combat effective against corruption, money laundering, cybercrime and organized crime.
During the discussions of the Chairman of the KPC. Ardian Hajdaraj and Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Besim Kelmendi, with the Director of ERA, Mr. Jean-Philippe, requested that prosecutors participate in the online trainings organized by ERA and, at the same time, to use the training materials that are published on the website of this European academy.
The programs of the Academy of European Law (ERA) help the countries of the Western Balkans with capacity-building training, by training and preparing the prosecutors and judges of the regional countries in the implementation of EU law.
