Prishtinë, 16 March 2022 – In order to advance transparency, accountability and development of a credible process with integrity, fair and objective, based on the values of equality and meritocracy, following the proposal of the Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi, The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), today, in its 210th meeting, has decided that the process of interviewing candidates for the position of the new Chief State Prosecutor to be open to the public, respectively to be monitored by civil society and international partners, as well as to be broadcast on the Public Radio and Television of the Republic of Kosovo (RTK).
Also, the Prosecutorial Council has decided that the Concept Papers of all candidates be published on the official website of the prosecutorial system.
KPC remains committed to fully respect the laws and bylaws and to apply the most advanced standards throughout the process of appointing the Chief State Prosecutor.
