The Chairman of the Prosecutorial Council, Ardian Hajdaraj, hosted representatives of the EU and OSCE Office in Kosovo

 

Prishtinë, 4 April 2025 – The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Mr. Ardian Hajdaraj, hosted today a meeting with the representative of the EU Office in Kosovo, Mr. Nicola Scaramuzzo, and the representative of the OSCE in Kosovo, Mr. Kakhramondzhon Sanginov, where the topic of discussion was the EU-funded project: “Regional Monitoring of the Judiciary in the Western Balkans”, implemented by the EU Office and the OSCE, which have established the Steering Committee in Pristina, a forum created to coordinate recommendations for justice reform.

On this occasion, Mr. Hajdaraj spoke with Mr. Scaramuzzo and Mr. Sanginov about the objectives, composition and rules of this Steering Committee, whose meeting will be held in June 2025.

Chairman Hajdaraj said that the KPC and the State Prosecutor are making great efforts to improve the efficiency, transparency and strengthening of the prosecutorial system and welcomed the implementation of the Committee’s objectives in the framework of supporting efforts to improve the administration of the justice system in matters of corruption and organized crime.

On the other hand, according to representatives of the EU and OSCE Office in Kosovo, this Steering Committee aims to close the gaps that may arise between policies and implementation through cooperation, transparency and comprehensive monitoring of progress in the justice system in Kosovo.
