Pristina, April 30, 2025 – The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Mr. Ardian Hajdaraj, received today in a meeting Mr. Klaus Decker , Senior Public Sector Specialist, and Mr. Ermal Vila, Governance Specialist, representatives of the World Bank. The meeting was held in the framework of cooperation in the field of justice, with a particular focus on supporting the development of evidence-based policies on the performance of the justice system in the Western Balkans.
During the discussions between Mr.Hajdaraj, Mr. Decker and Mr. Vila, the importance of increasing knowledge and collecting reliable data on judicial performance was emphasized, in order to strengthen dialogue and policies in justice, in line with the process of Kosovo’s integration into the European Union. This mission includes the organization of a broad judicial survey with the participation of many stakeholders, which follows a similar survey conducted in 2020.
Representatives of the World Bank informed the Chairman of the Prosecutorial Council that the company engaged in the implementation of this survey is at the end of the pilot phase and its full-scale implementation is expected to begin soon.
Also, this meeting aimed to confirm institutional cooperation and discuss next steps for the successful implementation of this important project.
Chairman Mr. Hajdaraj emphasized that the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council remains committed to supporting initiatives that contribute to improving the justice system and strengthening the rule of law in the country.
