Chairman Hajdaraj hosted the representatives of the Judicial Administration of Norway at the meeting

Prishtinë, 8 October 2024 – The Chairman of the Prosecution Council of Kosovo, Ardian Hajdaraj, together with the General Director of the Secretariat of the KPC, Sami Istrefi and the Head of the Department of Information Technology at the KPC, Nexhat Haziri, welcomed the representatives of the Judicial Administration of Norway, Audun Hognes Berg and Amra Jasarevic.

At the beginning of the meeting, Chairman Hajdaraj informed the Norwegian representatives about the current developments, with special emphasis on the achievements regarding the implementation and efficient management of the System for Information Management of Cases in all the prosecutor’s offices of the country, as well as on the activities that are included in the legal package.

Among the main topics that were discussed today were also those related to the main challenges of SMIL, the capacities of the prosecutorial system for the improvement and maintenance of SMIL and financial sustainability, which affect the management of adequate services and the provision of services for users, as well as in improving efficiency, transparency and facilitating citizens’ access to the country’s prosecutors’ offices.

On the other hand, the Norwegian officials of the Judicial Administration of Norway emphasized that the assessment and cooperation with the prosecutorial system of Kosovo remains their objective to continue the support in order to advance the electronic system even more.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Hajdaraj and the representatives of the Judicial Administration of Norway agreed to focus on the issues related to the full digitization of the prosecutorial system, taking into account the legal changes that may occur in the future.
