Prishtinë, 19 May 2025 – The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Mr. Ardian Hajdaraj, hosted today in a meeting the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Pristina, Ms. Mary Ann Hennessey.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Hajdaraj informed Ms. Hennessey about the current activities of the KPC, emphasizing the continuous institutional commitment to strengthening the rule of law, with a particular focus on strengthening the accountability, transparency and integrity of the prosecutorial system. “One of our main priorities is to increase the trust of citizens in the prosecutorial system and in this regard, further strengthening of the professional capacities of prosecutors is needed”, said Chairman Ardian Hajdaraj on this occasion.
A key topic of discussion was the expansion and deepening of cooperation with the Council of Europe Office, which has played an important role in supporting rule of law reforms in Kosovo. Both sides discussed opportunities for further advancing the partnership through joint projects aimed at improving the efficiency and transparency of the prosecutorial system.
At the end of the meeting, Chairman Hajdaraj expressed sincere gratitude for the continued support of the Council of Europe Office, emphasizing the importance of this cooperation in achieving common objectives.
