Prishtinë, 5 November 2024 – The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), namely, the working group for the drafting of the strategic plan and the action plan of the prosecutorial system 2025-2027, held a meeting to analyze the implementation of the strategic plan 2022-2024, in which the members of this group and representatives of international partners participated.
The Chairperson of the Working Group for the drafting of the Strategic Plan, at the same time the Deputy Chairperson of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Mrs. Jehona Grantolli, presented the analysis of the implementation of the strategic plan of the prosecutorial system 2022-2024, this plan, which was the main policy planning framework for the management of the prosecutorial system in the past three years. “However, against the many challenges that have been brought to us as a prosecutorial system, there have been many achievements, but the focus of the 2025-2027 Plan will be to increase the overall efficiency of the prosecutorial system.” said Mrs.Grantolli.
On this occasion, there were discussions on various planning issues, especially those related to the processes of the main pillars, such as: professionalism and independence of the prosecutorial system, efficiency and effectiveness in the prosecution of crime, profiling of prosecutors and the handling of criminal cases, management and administration, accountability, measures and specific actions to promote public transparency and issues related to European integration.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the KPC, Ardian Hajdaraj, evaluating the achievements, has also mentioned the challenges that have been presented during the implementation of this plan, especially the issues related to budget shortfalls and those related to reforms in the justice sector.
This meeting continued with discussions of representatives of international partners and participants from the prosecution system, in which case various comments, recommendations and suggestions were given.
