Pejë, 1 December 2021 – The Commission for Prosecution Administration and the working group for the supervision of the Unit for Fighting Corruption and Economic Crimes, led by the Deputy Chairman of the KPC, Veton Shabani, visited the Basic Prosecution of Peja, where they met with the Chief Prosecutor of this Prosecution, Agim Kurmehaj.
The purpose of this visit was to monitor the work processes in this prosecution and discuss some topics to increase efficiency at work.
The meeting continued with discussions on case registers and their harmonization, these registers, which are reported by registry offices and prosecutors.
Also, the work reports of this prosecution were discussed, with special emphasis on the review of cases of corruption and economic crimes, as well as the challenges in conducting these cases.
At the end of this meeting, a greater commitment was requested in reducing the number of cases of corruption and economic crimes and their treatment with high priority.
