A suspect of usury detained
Gjilan, May 28, 2020 - The Basic Prosecution in Gjilan, Department for Serious Crimes, has detained the suspect L.K., for a period of 48 hours, on suspicion of being involved in the criminal offense "Usury", under Article 331 of the Criminal Code of Republic of Kosovo.
There is a well-founded suspicion that the suspect L.K., applied usury for 75,000.00 euros, in order to then claim with interest of 30% from the injured party E.I., in which case the total value according to the agreement that the injured party had to return to the suspect was 97,500.00 euros.
At the request of the prosecution and with the approval of the court, the police searched the suspect’s home, found some notes during the search in the form of an agreement regarding the return of debt and other evidence related to incriminating cases.
With these actions, it is suspected that the same has committed the above-mentioned criminal offense and the prosecution within the legal deadline, against the same will request the measure of detention from the competent Court in Gjilan.
