Indictment for organizing and participating in a terrorist group
Prishtinë, May 06, 2020 - The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo has filed an indictment by the Basic Court in Prishtina - Special Department, against the defendant, D.D, for criminal offense "Organizing and participating in a terrorist group" under article 143 par. 2 of the CCRK.
The Special Prosecution Office informs that the defendant D.D, on 29.10.2014, intentionally as well as with preliminary preparations in order to join the terrorist organization "ISIS" in Syria, through the crossing point Hani i Elezit, has left the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, passing through the Republic of Macedonia and from the Skopje Airport, continued on her way to Istanbul, Turkey, then ended up in the town of Sedel Faruk in Syria, where she was received by her husband B.S, ISIS fighter.
The defendant D.D. was trained by her husband to use automatic rifle and was logistically engaged in preparing food, cleaning military uniforms. She has also been funded by ISIS for $ 100-150 a month, as well as with food. After the death of her husband, she married a person called D.S, a member of ISIS, stayed and continued to act in the conflict areas in Syria, while in December 2018, in the border with Turkey she was arrested by Syrian democratic forces, on 19.04.2019, and was repatriated to Kosovo.
With these actions, the defendant D.D., has committed the criminal offense "Organization and participation in a terrorist group" under article 143 par. 2 of the CCRK.
