Today Chief State Prosecutor, Ismet Kabashi had a meeting with General Prosecutor of Republic of Albania, Ina Rama

Prishtina, 26nd of March 2012 / Upon the invitation of Chief State Prosecutor who at the same time is President of Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Mr. Ismet Kabashi, General Prosecutor of Republic of Albania, Mrs. Ina Rama is staying for an official visit in the Republic of Kosovo.

General Prosecutor, Mrs. Rama accompanied by her associates, was hosted today in the meeting from her homologue Chief State Prosecutor, Ismet Kabashi.

At this meeting there were discussions related to implementation of the agreement between two Prosecution Offices concerning the cooperation in war against organized crime and money laundry.

In this meeting Chief State Prosecutor Kabashi simultaneously informed guests on the priorities and aims that he as a Chief State Prosecutor and President of Kosovo Prosecutorial has, as well as the stage through which Kosovo prosecutorial system is going through, with an emphasize on new organizational structure of State Prosecutor, which structure will be in place starting from 1st of January 2013.

In this meeting there also were discussions related to work, challenges and problems that Prosecution Offices of both countries are dealing with; as well as opportunities for deepening the cooperation between two countries in efforts for fighting against organized crime.

Whereas, General Prosecutor, Mrs. Ina Rama promised that Albania will support integration of Kosovo`s Prosecution in International Prosecutors` Organizations in order to raise the effectiveness and cooperation of Prosecutors in international level.

During her visit in Prishtina, General Prosecutor Ina Rama has also met with the President of our country, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, President of Kosovo Judicial Council of Republic of Kosovo Mr. Enver Peci, President of Supreme Court of Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Fejzulla Hasani, Minister of Justice Mr. Hajredin Kuçi and Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Bajram Rexhepi.
