The Acting Chief State Prosecutor hosted representatives of the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation - IRZ
Prishtina, March 9, 2023 The Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Besim Kelmendi, received today in a working meeting the two-member team of experts Dr. Stefan Trunk and Thomas Siedel accompanied by IRZ representatives Mr. Frank Hupfeld and Mrs. Anja Finke.
In this meeting, it was discussed about money laundering, about criminal offenses and criminal activities from which money laundering derives, about the methods of investigation and identification of property acquired through criminal activities, as well as about the exchange of information with the aim of combating these phenomena.
The Acting Chief Prosecutor Kelmendi expressed his willingness to deepen cooperation in the future between the State Prosecutor’s Office and the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation.
IRZ has launched a project for drafting recommendations for combating money laundering in Kosovo based on a complete analysis of the current legal and institutional framework.
