Double murder within the family in North Mitrovica
Mitrovica, May 27, 2022 – At around 5 - 5.30 in the morning in the apartment on the street “Krajl Petri” in Mitrovica - North, the suspect M.B., for unknown reasons has deprived of life his father M.B., and twin brother U.B., with this the suspect has committed the criminal offense “Aggravated Murder” under Article 173 paragraph 1 item 1.3 and 1.11 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo. Based on the first investigations, it is suspected that the victims’ bodies were stabbed.
The police and the prosecutor in charge of the Serious Crimes Department of the Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica went to the scene, and by order of the prosecutor the dead bodies were sent for autopsy to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Prishtina.
The suspect was arrested by the police, and with the decision of the state prosecutor was detained for 48 hours, and against the same a request for detention on remand will be submitted with the Basic Court in Mitrovica within the legal deadline.
