KPC and US Embassy in Kosovo discuss new prosecutorial system digitalization projects

Prishtinë, 1 December 2021 – The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Jetish Maloku, received a representative of the US Embassy in Kosovo, chaired by Shawn Waddoups, Director of the International Bureau of Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs.

Initially, Chairman Maloku thanked Director Waddoups for the generous support of the US Embassy in Kosovo, with particular emphasis on ongoing donations and the funding of six juvenile interview rooms in the country's basic prosecutor's offices. “The implementation of these projects, the multifaceted and systematic support of the American people and the Government of the United States of America, through the programs of its Embassy in Kosovo, has directly influenced the increase of efficiency and functionality of many work processes in the prosecutorial system. Kosovo”, said the Chairman of the KPC, Jetish Maloku.

During this meeting, new projects were presented, the main purpose of which is the complete digitalization of work processes, transforming the process of manual work into electronic one, which will enable the provision of digital services to the Prosecutorial Council and the State Prosecutor.

On the other hand, the Director of the International Bureau of Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Shawn Waddoups, expressed his satisfaction with the use of the equipment provided, which affects the increase of efficiency and effectiveness of work and, at the same time, expressed his readiness and that of the institution he represents, to provide further support to the Kosovo prosecutorial system.

At the end of the meeting, Chairman Maloku presented Director Waddoups with the emblem of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council as a sign of gratitude for the commitment and contribution given to the prosecutorial system.
