Reaction from the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council
Prishtinë, 15 April 2021 – The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC) reacts to the statements of the former President of the Supreme Court of Kosovo, Fejzullah Hasani and his attacks on the Chief State Prosecutor and the State Prosecutor's institution regarding the actions taken in the case of the murder of Agonis Tetaj.
KPC considers that external attacks on the work and competencies of the Chief State Prosecutor, in addition to being unacceptable, also constitute interference with the institutional and constitutional independence of the State Prosecutor institution, especially when such attacks are made by a former President of the Supreme Court of Kosovo.
The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council supports the independent and professional work of the Chief State Prosecutor in the exercise of his duties and competencies defined by the Constitution and other legal acts, as well as stands strongly in support of his work in the implementation of legality.
